Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR) -- Hackathon on Climate-Smart Agriculture for Latin America

The CGIAR's program on Climate Change, Agriculture, and Food Security (CCAFS) is partnering with the EU's Technical Centre for Agricultural and Rural Cooperation (CTA) to make climate data helpful for agriculture in Latin America.  A "hackathon" is scheduled for 29-30 November in Lima to develop ICT platforms (or applications) that will use information provided by CCAFS and others for use by farmers, governments, and agricultural enterprises. The top two prize winners will be offered cash prizes.
