The Earth Journalism Network is offering a second round of reporting grants to support the production of in-depth stories that highlight previously untold threats to global biodiversity, or explore new conservation-based solutions. Preference is for proposals that focus on new topics or stories that have not been widely covered. Eligibility for funding extends to journalists (online, print, television) and other expert media practitioners with a track record of reporting on environmental issues. Most grants will range from US$1 thousand to US$2 thousand, although larger grants can be considered if submitted by media partnerships. The deadline for applications is 17 February 2017.
