U.S. Department of State -- Public Participation to Support Wildlife Law in Central America

The U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Oceans and International Environmental and Scientific Affairs, announces funding to increase civil society engagement in environmental protection in Central America and the Dominican Republic. The program will make one grant of up to US$200 thousand to raise awareness about the importance of protecting endangered wildlife, and about the negative consequences of illegal wildlife trafficking. Eligibility for funding extends to nonprofit organizations in the USA and other countries; educational institutions; and public international organizations. Funding Opportunity Number OES-OTE-13-005. The closing date for applications is 12 July 2013.
