Workshop for young scientists

The Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) celebrates this year its 50th anniversary. In this context, the ETH Zurich organises several events with different topics in the frame of international cooperation. Detailed information on the different events can be found on www.50jahredeza.ethz.ch (in German). Amongst others, the North-South Centre of the ETH Zurich organises a two-day workshop for young scientists studying and working in the field of international cooperation and research for development (R4D). The workshop aims at elaborating new visions and perspectives for the future international cooperation. The outcomes of the workshop will be presented at the ETH Zurich during the anniversary celebration with Federal President Micheline Calmy-Rey and Ambassador Martin Dahinden, director of SDC, on Friday, 30 September 2011. Furthermore, SDC will invite a delegation of the workshop participants to Berne in order to present the results to the SDC staff and interested colleagues. The workshop will take place on Friday and Saturday, 16 and 17 September 2011 in Lungern (OW).   Detailed information on the workshop and the application procedure.   Deadline for application is 10 June 2011.
