GFRAS Creative Competition: Youth in Rural Advisory Services and Agricultural Extension

GFRAS Creative Competition: Youth in Rural Advisory Services and Agricultural ExtensionBackground and Aims

Youth in Rural Advisory Services are crucial to develop and sustain effective, efficient, inclusive, and sustainable RAS systems. But youth in RAS is a complex issue, with many challenges - and opportunities - faced on different levels by many actors.

The Global Forum for Rural Advisory Services (GFRAS) launches this competition with the aim to stimulate the reflection and discussion of this important topic and show the manifold faces of Youth in RAS in an inspiring and creative way.

This initiative is part of GFRAS’s contribution to a joint collaboration with other like-minded partners in the call for Youth Talent Development in Agriculture. This competition aims at  both challenging the youth to reflect on the issues, as well as raise awareness amongst RAS actors of the multi-faced challenges of youth in RAS in general, and on young people’s perception of this topic in particular.

Participation and Selection Procedures

For this competition, GFRAS will accept either of the two types of creative contributions, which shall illustrate the perception of Youth in RAS.

A visual depiction (photo, picture, drawing, …) with a meaningful and catchy title. The illustration, including the title, should be sent as an electronic copy in the highest possible resolution in order to allow for good quality printing.

A poetic diction (poems, poetic stories) in English, with a meaningful and catchy title and a maximum length of 400 words.
